The notion of right expresses that the mention situation is undisputed and accepted by everyone. With other words, the freedom, authority or possibility, given by existing laws, universal declarations or at least by verbal traditions, to act in determined forms is called right.

Human rights are such which are given to the individual due to being a human. To be a human is sufficient; there are no other legal grounds needed. To benefit from health services is also one of the basic human rights. Therefore it is necessary to evaluate patient rights in this frame.


Everyone, who applies to our clinic in order to receive health services, has the right;

    In frame of justice and equity principles, to benefit from activities regarding the incitement of healthy living and from preventive health services,

    To receive services without respecting the race, language, religion and persuasion, gender, political opinion, philosophical belief, economical or social status,

    To know any service and what the possibilities are,

  4. Select and Change Institution
    To select and change the health institution and to benefit from the services of the selected health institution,

  5. Know, Select and Change the Personnel
    To know the identities, duties and titles of the physicians and other personnel, who do and will provide health services, to select and change these,

  6. Request Information
    To request any information regarding the health status in words and in written,

  7. Confidentiality
    To receive any health service in environment conforming the confidentiality,

  8. Consent and Permission
    To receive the consent at medical interventions and to benefit from the services in the frame of consent,

  9. Denial and Halt
    To deny the treatment and to request its halt,

  10. Security
    To receive the health services in a secure environment,

  11. Religious Needs
    In frame of the possibilities of the institution and the measures by the administration, to fulfil the needs of the religion,

  12. Respect
    To experience respect, care and accuracy and to receive friendly, kind, charitable health services,

  13. Comfort
    To receive health services in an environment, at which any hygienic precondition is provided, any noisy and disturbing factors are eliminated,

  14. Visitors
    In accordance to the procedures and principles of the institution, to receive visitors,

  15. Escort
    In frame of the legislation and the possibilities of the institutions and corporations and by the permission of the physician, to request the attendance of an escort person,

  16. Application, Complaint and Legal Accuse Right
    In case of violation of rights, to use the right for any application, complaint and legal accuse,

  17. Continuous Service
    To benefit from health services as long as this is necessary,

  18. Latitude of Thought
    To declare opinions regarding the services.
